What is the cost per session?
Cash pay rate is $200 per 53 minute session. A one day Brainspotting Intensive costs $1,000. A two day Brainspotting Intensive costs $2,000. A three day Brainspotting Intensive costs $3,000.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept insurance through either Alma or Headway. I accept the following insurance providers for individual 53 minute sessions: Aetna, AllSavers UHC, Allied Benefit Systems, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Meridian, Nippon, Optum, Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, Providence Health Plan, Surest, UHC Student Resources, UMR, United Healthcare Shared Services, United Healthcare, United Healthcare Global, Anthem Blue Cross. Therapy intensives are not covered by insurance.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, I have a limited amount of sliding scale spots available to those in need. This can be discussed more during a consultation call.
How long are therapy sessions?
The typical weekly individual appointment is 53 minutes. A one day therapy intensive is 3-4 hours. A two day intensive consists of two 3-4 hour sessions. A three day intensive consists of three 3-4 hour sessions.
What type of treatment do you offer?
I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, Parts Work Therapy, Brainspotting, Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping), and Neuro-Nutrient Therapy (use of amino acids and vitamins).
What are Brainspotting Intensives?
Brainspotting intensives are an accelerated form of treatment. They are offered over a one, two, or three day period within the same week. Brainspotting intensives allow for rapid and deep healing. One can expect to process trauma, emotional blocks, and/or any other challenging issues impacting a person. Additionally, brainspotting intensives can be used to address any negative self beliefs and/or problematic behaviors. Brainspotting intensives are not covered by insurance.
What is your cancellation policy:
I request that clients cancel 24 hours prior to our appointment time. Additionally, rescheduling within the same week, provided I have availability, is requested to be made 12 hours prior to our initial appointment time. The late cancellation or no show fee is $150. This is not covered through insurance and is billed to the card on file with Simple Practice.
What is your availability?
My availability may change from week to week, but typically I work Monday-Friday 1:00 PM-7:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Is there a client portal?
Yes, I use Simple Practice, which is HIPPA compliant. I can upload documents and information through there. Additionally, we can communicate through the portal. Scheduling is also done in Simple Practice. Cash pay client’s will be billed through Simple Practice as well.
What will the first session look like?
The first session will consist of me getting to know you better. I will conduct a biopsychosocial assessment, which is basically gathering all of your background information. This will allow me to get a clear picture of what is going on and how I can help you. Together we will create a treatment plan.
How often will I be seen?
This is person specific and depends on several factors including severity of symptoms, availability, and finances. This will be discussed in detail during the first session.
Do I need to be located in California?
Yes, I am licensed in the state of California; therefore, my clients need to be located within the same state.
Do you offer telehealth services?
Yes, I provide online therapy.
